Ghanaian student sets World Record for ‘Most Trees Hugged’

Abubakar Tahiru, a student from Ghana, has his name officially recorded in the Guinness World Records.

The record for the most trees hugged by a single person is now held by Abubakar, a forestry student at Auburn University in the United States.

He accomplished the amazing accomplishment of hugging 1,123 trees in one hour.

On March 25, 2024, in Auburn, Alabama, USA, near Pleasant Hills in the Tuskegee National Forest, a record attempt was made.

Thrilled Mr. Tahiru announced the accomplishment on his Facebook page.

 

Guinness World Records has also confirmed the milestone on its website as it eulogised Abubakar’s passion for promoting sustainability, environmental awareness.

GWR announced Abubakar’s true love for trees served as the driving force behind his ambitious endeavour.
