Mike Tyson Makes Shocking Career Announcement After Jake Paul Fight

Three months before it is set to be streamed live on Netflix from AT&T Stadium, the exhibition boxing battle between Jake Paul and former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson has already become an international sensation.

The fight will have a big impact on both boxing and the two participants. Paul, a former YouTube sensation, is fighting Tyson, one of the world’s most feared athletes, in an effort to make a statement.

But Paul’s and Tyson’s lives will carry on after the bout. The latter has been building an empire in business and media outside of the ring for years, and on Monday, it got a major boost in the form of an unexpected announcement.

In a major career turn for the 57-year-old boxer, Tyson’s cannabis company “Tyson 2.0” struck an agreement with pharmaceutical company PHCANN on Monday to supply Mike Bites and other products to German and British consumers.

“I’m excited to make our world-class products available to medical cannabis patients in the region,” Tyson said in a statement. “Together, we’re setting new standards and delivering something that no one else is bringing to the table.”

Tyson and Evander Holyfield unveiled a contentious joint venture in 2022 that involved selling edibles.

The delicacies, known as “Mike Bites,” are made to resemble human ears. The idea came from the 1997 fight between the two fighters, in which Tyson bit off a piece of Holyfield’s left ear.

Owner of a 420-acre “weed resort” in southern California, Tyson has previously declared that he will give up marijuana in order to completely train for his July 20 fight with Paul in Arlington, Texas.
