I won’t play these movie roles again – Adjetey Anang reveals

Ghanaian actor, Adjetey Anang, has opened up about some of his own restrictions when it comes to choosing roles in motion pictures.

The “Yolo” actor claimed that he would not play certain characters that required them to be in nude or extremely explicit intimate situations.

Adjetey Anang, who has wowed audiences with his varied performances, expressed his doubts about the notion in an interview with TV3 on June 26, 2024. He clarified that his decision had nothing to do with money or even a role that would change his career.

“There are characters that I may not play. Somebody would play it… Nudity, nude scenes, and very graphic, intimate scenes. That’s the thing. It’s not about the money,” he said.

Recounting an example in which another actor came under fire for playing a controversial character, he clarified that the reason for his decision was that many Ghanaians were unable to tell the difference between the actor and the character they were playing in the film.

“And that’s how serious people take it. They can’t draw a line between the craft and the artist,” he said.
