Non-physical cheating types that are still counted as cheating
Cheating in any kind of relationship is the worst thing that a person can do. The person who is cheated on break down in ways you can’t possibly imagine. These days, cheating has been reclassified into something that doesn’t just limit a person to a physical affair but also to an emotional affair.
It begins with a platonic friendship and ends with an inappropriate intimate relationship. There are many other types of cheating that are non-physical, but still can be called cheating for all the right reasons. Here’s a list of some:
02/7Being too close to your opposite-sex friend
A relationship is only meant for two people. You can’t start to include a third person just because he/she is your ‘close friend’. Of course, having friends is normal, but getting close to your opposite-sex friend isn’t fair and will put your partner in an uncomfortable state of insecurity and doubt.
03/7Flirting online and offline
There’s a very thin line between complimenting someone and flirting with them. If you’re in a relationship, you can’t go around flirting with other people online or offline. Even if your partner might never find out about it, this still counts as cheating and you must stop with it.
04/7Complaining about your partner to someone else
You are struggling in your relationship and you want to talk about it to someone? That someone should be your partner and your partner alone. No one outside your relationship is supposed to know what’s going on in your relationship. If you’re going to go around complaining about your partner to someone else, it definitely poses as cheating, as you’re giving away your partner’s trust. Maintain some privacy.
05/7Having a secret friend
Introducing your friends to your partner is one of the best things to do in a relationship. This makes them know your kind of people, your friend circle and the kind of person that you are around your friends. But, having a secret friend that your partner knows nothing about is absolutely wrong. You meet or speak to this person without telling your partner about any of it is counted as cheating, whether you like it or not.
06/7Dreaming of other lovers
Of course, dreams are not in your control, but also know that many of your dreams are dependent on the people who are on your mind. And if your past lovers are often in your dreams or you think about them but keep it from your partner, you’re cheating.
07/7Crossing the line with strangers
Once you are in a relationship, you have to restrict yourself from interacting with any stranger in any situation whatsoever. You’re taking a solo trip and met a female solo traveller along the way? You might instantly think of cheating on your partner with them because who’s ever going to come to know? You’re at a bar and some guy tries to flirt with you and flatters you with things that you aren’t getting in your primary relationship? You might want to cheat on your partner this one time and forget it like it never happened. Still cheating. Even the thought of cheating is dangerous for your relationship and might put you at risk of losing someone important in your life.
